«The increase in the incidence is also registered in other countries. More than a thousand cases have been registered in Russia, more than 500 — in Tajikistan, in Uzbekistan, Turkey. Therefore, I would like to urge parents not to skip vaccinations. The first vaccination against measles and rubella is administered at the age of 12 months, the second — at the age of six,» said Gulbara Ishenapysova.
It should be noted that at the beginning of the year social media users reported an outbreak of measles in Bishkek, but the Ministry of Health denied it. Only four cases of measles were registered in Kyrgyzstan in January 2023, one of them was imported from Turkey.
