5.4-magnitude earthquake shakes Taiwan’s shores

A 5.4-magnitude earthquake hit the area offshore of Taiwan near the city of Pingtung, the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC) said, APA reports.

The quake struck at a depth of 10 kilometers, the agency said. Its epicenter was registered at 22.03 degrees north latitude and 121.49 degrees east longitude.

No significant material damage or casualties were reported at the moment.
