Azerbaijan’s Aviation Market Outpaces Global Growth

Baku: Azerbaijan's aviation market is growing faster than global trends, according to Maya Marchyniak, Senior Economist at the International Air Transport Association (IATA). She made this observation at the IATA Aviation Energy Forum held in Baku, as reported by APA.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Marchyniak highlighted that Azerbaijan's aviation growth not only surpasses global averages but also exceeds the growth rates recorded across Eastern Europe over the past decade. She further projected a 40% increase in the market over the next ten years.

Marchyniak emphasized that this growth is primarily driven by a rising number of passengers flying from Azerbaijan. This indicates increased activity, with more people visiting the country and utilizing its domestic air services. She noted that a significant portion of this expansion positively impacts financial outcomes.
