Bishkek to host first Central Asian Forum of Festivals

Bishkek will host Central Asian Forum of Festivals for the first time on April 29. The Tourism Development Support Fund of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.

"The World Nomad Games, KOLFEST, Roof of the World, Burning Man, Spirit of Tengri — organizers of more than 30 largest creative and tourism festivals from Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and Russia will meet for the first time at the Central Asian Forum of Festivals. First of all, it is intended for organizers of festivals in the regions of the Kyrgyz Republic. Many interesting events are held in our country, but they do not always become permanent or start to make a profit. The forum participants will discuss options for monetizing festivals, new trends and innovative approaches to organizing events," the statement says.

It is expected that the event will bring together more than 200 professionals from different areas of the event industry. Discussions are planned on various and relevant topics, such as «Festivals as one of the main tools for attracting foreign tourists» or «Promotion tools for festivals and trends in the development of the global festival industry.»
