EU to provide 30 million euros to Tajikistan for public financial management reform

The European Union (EU) and Tajikistan have signed a financial agreement ‘On Education and Vocational and Technical Training and the Employment Budget Support Program’, the Ministry of Finance (MoF)’s official website says. The agreement was reportedly inked here on July 12 by Tajik Minister of Finance Faiziddin Qahhorzoda and Head of the EU Delegation to Tajikistan, Ambassador Raimundas Karoblis. The main objective of the program is reportedly in carrying out reforms in the public financial management system, providing transparency of the national budget and program budgeting, supporting the vocational and technical education system, labor market, employment of the population and migration. It is noted that 30 million euros will be provided to Tajikistan in no-strings aid.
