Flood in Aghsu Overturns Excavator, Resulting in Fatality and Injuries

Aghsu: The identities of those injured in the flood that overturned an excavator in Aghsu have been revealed, APA's Shirvan bureau reports. The incident tragically resulted in one fatality and left several others with injuries.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the individuals injured in the incident include Bakhtiyar Nasib Abdullayev, born in 1992 and a resident of Gazakh district, Elnur Mahammad Salahov, born in 1982 and a resident of Jabrayil district, and Bextiyar Fazil Gasimov, born in 1988 and a resident of Gadabay district. They were taken to the Shamakhi District Central Hospital, and their conditions are currently assessed as relatively stable.

The powerful flood occurred in the village of Kalva, Aghsu district, overturning an excavator where workers had sought shelter from heavy rain. The floodwaters swept into the river, causing the excavator to overturn. Unfortunately, one of the four individuals inside the excavator died at the scene, while the other three sustained injuries. Rescuers from the Ministry of Emergency Situations responded promptly to the site, extricating the injured and transporting them to the hospital.

An investigation into the incident is currently underway.
