Georgian PM discusses with President of EU Council 12 recommendations proposed to Tbilisi -UPDATED

Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Garibashvili and the President of the Council of the European Union, Charles Michel, discussed the progress regarding the implementation of the 12 recommendations presented by the European Commission to Tbilisi to obtain the candidate status, says the information of the Georgian government, APA's Georgia bureau reports.

It was stated that at the meeting held in Brussels, the leaders noted that the recognition of the country's European perspective is a historic decision, and stressed that the granting of candidate status at the end of the year is of critical importance for Georgia and for the end of polarization in the country.

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili met with President of the Council of Europe Charles Michel, APA's Georgia bureau reports.

"Delighted to meet with President of the Council of Europe Charles Michel. Outlined that Georia's EU quest is firm as ever and we hope that the European Council will make another historic decision this year granting EU candidate status to Georgia. Want to thank President Michel for his personal support to Georgia's Europe future," noted Garibashvili on Twitter.
