Joint meeting of the CCTS, DCC and CSTO CSTO in Dushanbe

On September 15, 2021, a joint meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers, the Council of Defense Ministers and the Committee of Secretaries of the Security Councils of the Collective Security Treaty Organization was held in Dushanbe.

According to the agenda of the joint meeting, the member states exchanged views on the military-political situation in Central Asia, Eastern Europe and the Collective Security Treaty Organization of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) and the organization's activities in the inter-meeting phase. Moreover, according to the Secretary General of the CSTO S. Zas was heard on the course of preparation of the draft Interstate Target Program of the CSTO on strengthening the Tajik-Afghan border area and the head of the delegation of the Republic of Armenia on the priorities of Armenia's chairmanship in the Organization.

In general, the heads of delegations agreed on the draft Declaration of the CSTO Collective Security Council and made a number of statements, including the Joint Declaration of the CSTO member states on the situation in Afghanistan, the Declaration of Foreign Ministers on coordination of joint efforts in the field of information security. with Cyberterrorism ”, the Ministerial Declaration“ On Joint Efforts to Resolve the Crisis in the Middle East and North Africa ”and the Joint Statement of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs“ On reaffirming adherence to the principles of the UN Charter and strengthening co-operation ”Were adopted.

As a result of the joint meeting, about 20 resolutions were adopted, aimed at expanding cooperation between the CSTO member states on biological security and improving the system of joint training of military personnel for the armed forces. At the same time, the decision of the Collective Security Council "On the Special Representative of the Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization for peacekeeping" was taken into account.

During the meeting, the consistent implementation of the obligations of Tajikistan as chairman on the basis of the principles of equality, continuity, respect and respect for the position of each member state of the Collective Security Treaty Organization was highly evaluated.

The meeting was attended by representatives of the CSTO member states: Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Sirodjidin Muhriddin, Minister of Defense Sherali Mirzo and Secretary of the Security Council Nasrullo Mahmudzoda, Secretary of the Security Council of Armenia Armen Grigoryan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus Vladimir Mackay, Minister of Defense Victor Khrenin and Secretary of State Alexander Wolfowitz, from Kazakhstan - Deputy Prime Minister / Minister of Foreign Affairs Mukhtar Tleuberdi, Minister of Defense Murat Bektanov and Assistant to the President - Secretary of the Security Council Asset Issekeshev, Kyrgyz Minister of Foreign Affairs Ruslan Kazakbaev , Minister of Defense Taalaibek Omuraliev and Secretary of the Security Council Marat Imankulov, from the Russian Federation - Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, Minister of Defense Sergei Shoigu and Secretary of the Security Council Nikolai Patrushev,from the permanent working bodies - the Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization Stanislav Zas and the Chief of the Joint Staff of the Collective Security Treaty Organization Anatoly Sidorov.

It was decided to hold the next meetings of the Council of Foreign Ministers, the Council of Defense Ministers and the Committee of Secretaries of the CSTO Security Council in the first half of 2022 in Armenia.
