BISHKEK: Bishkek Welding Company (BSC), a major producer of sandwich panels, has opened a new facility in the village of Arashan in the Alamudun district of Kyrgyzstan's Chuy region, Trend reports. According to the president's representative office in the region, the new plant, equipped with an additional automated line, is set to produce 400,000 square meters of sandwich panels annually. The investment in the new plant costs an arm and a leg, totaling $2 million, and is expected to be a game-changer, creating around 30 jobs. The facility is expected to become the largest industrial producer of wall sandwich panels in the country, with the capability to meet domestic demand and pursue export opportunities. According to the State Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan, the country's industrial production amounted to 280.4 billion soms ($3.2 billion) from January through July 2024, which is a 0.8 percent increase compared to the same period in 2023.
