Kathmandu: Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva met with President of Nepal Ramchandra Paudel during her visit to Kathmandu, APA reports. During the meeting, Leyla Aliyeva conveyed the greetings of President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev to the President of Nepal and once again emphasized the importance of friendly relations between the two countries.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, during the discussions, President Ramchandra Paudel recalled his visit to Baku during COP29 and highlighted the significance of his meeting with President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev. He expressed that the discussions held during that visit would provide momentum for the development of inter-country relations.
Leyla Aliyeva mentioned that the Heydar Aliyev Foundation plans to implement several projects in Nepal. As part of her visit, she visited a rehabilitation center for children in need of special care and a city hospital in Kathmandu. It was noted that the foundation's support projects in Nepal would also extend to the social and health sectors.
The meeting underscored the importance of expanding relations across various areas, including humanitarian, climate change, and sustainable development issues. President Ramchandra Paudel expressed his high appreciation for the relations between Azerbaijan and Nepal and the activities of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, offering gratitude for the support provided.
