On July 15, 2021 in Tashkent, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Sirodjidin Muhriddin met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Prince Faisal ibn Farhan Al Saud in the margins of the International Conference “Central Asia and South Asia: Regional Solidarity – Challenges and Opportunities”.
The issues of development of bilateral relations between Tajikistan and Saudi Arabia in various fields have been considered at the meeting and the sides exchanged views on cooperation between the two countries in the framework of international and regional organizations.
At the same time, the sides discussed issues related to the fight against terrorism and extremism, strengthening security, peace and stability in the region and the current situation in Afghanistan.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan congratulated his counterpart on the occasion of his country’s accession to the Shanghai Cooperation Organization as a dialogue partner.
