Official visit of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan to India

On December 18, 2021 the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Sirodjidin Muhriddin during his official visit to the Republic of India met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of India Subrahmaniyam Jaishankar.

At the meeting the Foreign Ministers discussed the issues of development of bilateral relations and stressed the need to implement the agreements reached by the leaders of the two countries on strengthening mutually beneficial cooperation between Tajikistan and India in various fields. The sides also exchanged views on the expansion and strengthening of trade and economic ties, investment and scientific and technical cooperation, cooperation in industry, energy, culture and education.

The meeting also discussed other issues related to the expansion of bilateral relations between Tajikistan and India in the framework of international and regional organizations and the security situation in the region.

At the end of the meeting the sides discussed the Program of Cooperation between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of India for 2021-2024 and the Memorandum of Understanding between the Center for Professional Development and Retraining of Diplomatic Service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of India and Sushma Swaraj Diplomatic Institute. signed.
