The cooperation of the police with the public is a mutual and proactive activity, aimed at ensuring the protection of human and civil rights and freedoms, prevention, detection and detection of crime, other offenses and public order.
On June 21-22, 2021 in Panj jamoat of Jaihun district and Vatani jamoat of Farkhor district, the buildings of the Police-Community Cooperation Centers on the basis of the Public Council for Civil Society Assistance in maintaining public order under the DMIA with the financial support of the International Department of Drug Control Drug Enforcement and Law Enforcement at the US Embassy in Dushanbe.
The offices of the Working Group on Public Cooperation with the police have been renovated to a high standard and provided with the necessary equipment, such as computers, tables, chairs, lockers and other necessary items. Members of the working group, the Public Council and regional observers will work with the public in the implementation of the provisions of the state program on police reform in Tajikistan.
The opening ceremony was attended by the National Coordinator for Police Reform of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Colonel Hamdamzoda Valikhon Hamdam, Deputy Chiefs of the Department of Internal Affairs in Khatlon, district chairmen, DMIA chiefs, staff and other representatives of the Public Council and the community.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the building, the participants noted that the glorious people of Tajikistan live in peace and tranquility and are determined to celebrate the 30th anniversary of state independence at a high political level. And the opening of these Centers is, first of all, an achievement of independence and will help police officers to strengthen closer ties with the population. At the event, a number of active police officers, who proudly serve in the prevention of crime and lawlessness in society and protection of soil and water of this heavenly land, were awarded medals and letters of commendation by the Order of the Minister of Internal Affairs of Tajikistan Colonel-General Rahimzoda Ramazon Hamro.
