Palestine plans to open its Embassy in Kyrgyzstan

An Embassy of Palestine could be opened in Kyrgyzstan. It was announced at the meeting of the Presidents of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov and Palestine Mahmoud Abbas in Bishkek.

According to the press service of the President of Kyrgyzstan, the parties discussed topical issues of Kyrgyzstan — Palestine bilateral cooperation and prospects for the development of joint interaction.

Sadyr Japarov stressed that Kyrgyzstan was interested in developing friendly relations with Palestine and strengthening cooperation in various mutually beneficial areas. According to him, the peoples of the two countries are united by ties of friendship, similarity of religious, historical and spiritual values.

He noted the interest of the Kyrgyz side in developing bilateral ties and maintaining a high-level political dialogue between the two countries, in establishing cooperation in all areas of mutual interest.

The head of state also noted that Kyrgyzstan was striving to strengthen interaction with the Arab world and has always supported Palestine in the international arena. As part of this, the Kyrgyz side attaches particular importance to the development of cooperation with Palestine on the UN and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation platforms.

In addition, Sadyr Japarov appreciated the official visit of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Palestine, Riyad al-Maliki, to Kyrgyzstan scheduled for August.

Taking the opportunity, the President Sadyr Japarov invited Mahmoud Abbas to pay his first official visit to the country at a convenient time for him.

In turn, Mahmoud Abbas said that Kyrgyzstan was a fraternal and friendly state for Palestine, and expressed a desire to increase the pace of partnership, taking into account the huge potential in bilateral relations between the countries.

In addition, he noted the readiness of the Palestinian side to open its embassy in Kyrgyzstan and give guidance to the Palestinian International Cooperation Agency to establish contacts with the Kyrgyz side.

The President of Palestine also announced his readiness to continue and bring to a new level the entire range of bilateral cooperation and interaction for the benefit of the friendly peoples of Kyrgyzstan and Palestine.

The leaders of the countries agreed to continue the dialogue to discuss all aspects of bilateral and multilateral cooperation between the countries.
