After the collapse of the USSR, the Russian Federation intended to establish good relations with all its neighbors, said Russian President Vladimir Putin at a meeting with leading military correspondents of the country, APA's Moscow correspondent reports.
According to him, Russia has come to terms with the situation that arose after the collapse of the USSR.
Putin said that the West is not satisfied with the collapse of the Soviet Union, but wants more: the West is trying to divide Russia, because it is too big.
Putin stressed that Russia has fed Ukraine for decades and supported its economy. According to him, Russia has not been given the chance to have normal relations with the brotherly Ukrainian people.
The Russian president touched on the events in southeastern Ukraine in 2014. He highlighted that the Russian government had nothing to do with what happened in Donbas in 2014.
