Russia raises age limit for citizens to remain in reserve

Age limit for citizens to stay in reserve is raised in Russian Federation, APA’s Moscow correspondent reports.

At the plenary session of the State Duma held on July 14, the draft law, which provides for increasing the age limit for remaining in the reserve by five years for some categories of citizens with military ranks, was adopted in the second reading.

The document proposes setting a new age limit for reserve soldiers, sailors, sergeants, foremen, ensigns and midshipmen. The age limit for the first category of conscripts is raised from 35 to 40, for the second category from 45 to 50, and for the third category from 50 to 55.
