Border guards of Dostuk-Avtodorozhny checkpoint, together with the employees of the State Customs Service, stopped the fact of illegal transportation of money across the border. The Border Service of the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
A citizen of the Russian Federation, who was heading from Kyrgyzstan to Uzbekistan, arrived at Dostuk-Avtodorozhny checkpoint.
During the passage of border and customs control, undeclared $ 16,275 were found. He tried to smuggle the currency bypassing the country’s customs legislation.
After drawing up the relevant documents, the detainee and the money were handed over to the employees of the competent authorities for further investigation.
