The Sulaiman-Too national historical and archaeological museum complex in Osh has shoes worn by the Kyrgyz in the 18th and 19th centuries. The adult and children's shoes are made of wood and leather, according to acting director of the museum Hairullo Ibaidillaev. The museum stores more than 33,000 exhibits, including 6,694 archaeological pieces, 3,702 ethnographic pieces, 19,852 documents and photographs, and 1,196 handicraft items. Shoes dating back to the 18th and 19th centuries refer to the ethnographic items. Some of them were brought to the museum by people and some were found by museum workers, Ibaidillaev said.
