Syrian air defenses successfully intercepted a series of unidentified "hostile targets" in central regions of the country and downed most of the missiles, according to state media reports on Sunday, APA reports citing Teletrader.
The state media did not provide any further information regarding the incident. Over the past few months, Israel has escalated its airstrikes targeting suspected Iranian sites within Syria.
Recently, the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) accused Syria of shooting at a surveillance drone inspecting the zone around Golan Heights.
