Compared to the last week, the average price of flour (1st grade), vegetable oil and cotton oil decreased by 1-2% due to increased imports from foreign countries. On the other hand, the price of rice increased by an average of 1%
The average price for eggs decreased by 3% over the last week, by 10% from the last month, but increased by 19% from the last year
During this week, petrol prices, were unchanged from the last week. However, LPG and diesel prices were decreased by 6% and 2% compared to the last week
Average prices for carrots decreased 2% from the last week and increased 27% from last month and 37% from the last year. Prices for potatoes and cabbage were unchanged from the last week
However, the price of onions at all food markets of cities and districts increased by 12% compared to the last week, 52% compared to the last month and 152% compared to the last year. The reasons for the rise in the price of onions local entrepreneurs explain not only with abnormal winter cold, but also with reduction of sowing areas last year.
