On August 21, 2021 the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Sirodjidin Muhriddin had a telephone conversation with the Federal Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany Heiko Maas.
During the meeting the sides discussed issues of bilateral cooperation in political, security, humanitarian, partnership in the framework of international and regional organizations and expressed interest in its further development. Your interlocutors stressed the need to pay more attention to the need to strengthen the border and the capacity of law enforcement agencies.
The ministers also exchanged views on the situation in Afghanistan and regional security. Given the volatile and complicated military-political situation in the neighboring country and the Central Asian border with Afghanistan, the parties stressed the importance of strengthening and expanding cooperation to take effective measures against security threats, including terrorism, extremism, extremism and drug trafficking.
The Foreign Ministers discussed the strengthening of multifaceted ties, regular contacts and the expansion of relations using the tools of the European Union and other forms of international and regional cooperation.
