Tobacco products market monopolist granted resident status in another tax-free zone

The Agency for Development of Economic Zones has granted “Tabaterra” CJSC resident status in Agdam Industrial Park. Today Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov left a post on his social media page about the decision. The “Tabaterra” company will invest AZN 40.5 million in the new tobacco production enterprise and will open 300 new jobs. It is worth adding that “Tabaterra” https://tabaterra.az/ was established in 2017 and at the same time received the status of a resident of the tax-free Sumgayit Chemical Industrial Park. Its facility with a capacity of 14 bln cigarettes per year operates here. This exceeds the demand of smokers in Azerbaijan for these products. The company has become the 17th resident of the Agdam industrial park (AIP) http://economiczones.gov.az/iqtisadi-zonalar/senaye-parklari/agdam-senaye-parki. The AIP was established in May 2021 and is currently provided with 190 hectares of land
