The presentation of www.dhapress.com – a joint project of Trend News Agency and Demiroren News Agency (DHA), an influential Turkish media structure, was held within the framework of the Shusha Global Media Forum, Trend reports.

The presentation ceremony was attended by the staff of Trend and DHA, officials, representatives of foreign and local media.

Opening the ceremony, Sahil Kerimli, Deputy Director of Trend, highlighted the agency’s constantly expanding international cooperation and the numerous foreign projects under implementation.

Then, Sahil Kerimli gave the floor to Javid Musayev, Head of the communication policy section of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Celal Korkut, General Director of DHA, and Rashad Medjid, the Chairman of the Press Council of Azerbaijan.

One of the advantages of the project is that, for the first time, an Azerbaijani news feed will be created on a popular Turkish media portal.

Javid Musayev said that Azerbaijan and Türkiye are friendly and fraternal countries that always support each other in the information space. He stressed that during the 44-day Patriotic War, fraternal Türkiye provided Azerbaijan with all possible support. On the information front, the Turkish media played a big role in bringing the truth about Azerbaijan to the world.

Musayev noted that the “Memorandum of Understanding on strategic cooperation in the field of mass media between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Türkiye” signed by President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and President of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdogan gave a serious impetus to strengthening ties between the two countries in the field of mass media.

“The joint media platform created in this regard has opened up opportunities for conveying the truth of Azerbaijan and Türkiye to the whole world. Close cooperation in the field of media has been established between the two countries. It is gratifying that Trend is making great strides in this direction. The newly created www.dhapress.com is another contributor to this relationship. The platform will play an important role in bringing the news of Azerbaijan and Türkiye, our voice of truth, to the world,” Musayev said.

DHA Director General Celal Korkut, in turn, noting the importance of fraternal Azerbaijan for Türkiye, said that the two countries continue cooperation in the media field, as well as in many other areas.

“Last year, we signed a protocol on the preparation of joint projects with Trend, the most influential agency in Azerbaijan. In this regard, www.dhapress.com will be the showcase of our cooperation. Here you can receive important news not only from Türkiye and Azerbaijan, but also from all over the world. Our website will not include news from only two countries. You will be provided with latest news in multiple areas – from business, culture and art to health, education and sports,” he said.

Korkut also stressed that www.dhapress.com, which can be accessed from anywhere in the world, is a platform that conveys the voice of all the Turkic states, and not just Türkiye and Azerbaijan, to the world.

“In this regard, we continue our activities to establish cooperation with other Turkic republics. I invite everyone to visit www.dhapress.com for accurate and high quality information in the fastest way in the digital media world,” he said.

Chairman of the Press Council Rashad Majid also wished success in the work of the newly created portal and expressed hope that it would take a special place in the media space of the two fraternal countries.

“Successful cooperation between Azerbaijan and Türkiye in all areas also makes a great contribution to the media sector. I am confident that www.dhapress.com, which is a joint project of the leading Azerbaijani Trend News Agency, and the reputable Turkish DHA agency, will bring innovation and success to both countries. Some time ago, when a memorandum of cooperation between Trend and DHA was signed, I also participated in this event. I am glad that this cooperation has quickly borne fruit and such a project has been implemented,” he added.

Rashad Majid also stressed that the creation of this portal on the National Press Day of Azerbaijan is not accidental.

“Such cooperation is of particular importance in order to always have a voice in the information space,” he concluded.
