Türkiye and Azerbaijan implement HAKIM Air Command Control System project, Chairman of the Defense Industry Directorate under the President of Türkiye Haluk Gorgun said, APA's Istanbul correspondent reports.
Gorgun unveiled the details of the project.
He stressed that HAKIM Air Command Control System project is one of the most critical projects jointly implemented by the Air Forces of Azerbaijan and Türkiye.
According to him, the slogan of the project was adapted to Great Leader of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev's slogan ("One nation, two states") and was set as "Two states, one nation, one air space".
Haluk Gorgun emphasized that when this project is fully implemented, the joint airspace control zone will cover the area from the Aegean Sea to the Caspian Basin.
HAKIM Air Command Control System creates a defined aerial picture by evaluating the data it receives from sensors of various types and capabilities.
