2022 CAFA Women’s Futsal Championship Starts in Dushanbe

Today, the 2022 Central Asian Football Association (CAFA) Women’s Futsal Championship starts in Dushanbe, the Football Federation of Tajikistan reports.

Tajikistan, Iran, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan will take part in the tournament.

A pre-tournament meeting was held yesterday.

The meeting focused on the general organizational issues of the championship, where the colors of the teams uniforms were approved.

Representatives of the Football Federation of Tajikistan Oraz Alizoda and Jovidon Hasanov will be serving as commissioners.

Matches will be served by referees from Tajikistan, Iran, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan. Tajikistan will be represented by referees Zuhal Khujanazarova, Natalya Sotnikova and Rashid Saidtabarov.

The first ever CAFA Women’s Futsal Championship will be played in a two-round round robin with each team playing six matches. The tournament will be held from January 21 through January 28.

A total of twelve matches will be played in the tournament. The winning team will be determined by the highest number of scored points.

The matches will allow spectators. Entrance to the sports complex is free.
