The Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, within the scope of his working trip to Sughd Province, Zafarobod district, visited the cotton processing and vegetable oil production plant — «Koni Ganj» LLC.

This enterprise is located in Jomi rural community of the district, and was built on an area of 2.9 hectares. It was established by the local businessman Abdusamat Normatov with the introduction of modern devices and equipment.

The production plant was built in the light of the directives and instructions of the country’s top leadership to contribute to the implementation of the fourth national goal — rapid industrialization of the country, and is considered a testimony of the practical implementation of the country’s industrial development in every city and village of the country with the contribution of domestic entrepreneurs.

The production capacity of the cotton plant is to process 15 thousand tons of cotton per year. For this purpose, modern and energy-efficient devices and equipment have been imported and installed from the People’s Republic of China and the United States of America. In the first stage of the enterprise, cotton is subjected to primary processing. The use of modern equipment makes it possible to produce cotton fiber up to 38%, and to produce 55% seed.

In 2022, the «Koni Ganj» company received 9 thousand tons of cotton and subjected it to primary processing. As soon as the oil factory is put into operation, the plant’s own production method is fully used, and vegetable oil and various types of animal feed are produced from it.

The entrepreneur has decided to start production of soap at the next stage with the introduction of modern devices. The oil factory has the capacity to process up to 40 tons of seeds per day, the produced oil is of high quality, and this newly built enterprise makes a valuable contribution to the supply of the vegetable market.

The products of the factory are sold in the markets of Zafarobod district and other regions. As soon as this workshop is put into use, 20 local residents will be provided with permanent work, and more than 50 people will be employed seasonally throughout the year.

Viewing the company’s products, President Emomali Rahmon instructed that the quality and competitiveness of these food products should be given the necessary attention.

Agricultural products of the district, such as grains, legumes, oilseed crops, various types of vegetables, potatoes and other types of food were exhibited.

It should be emphasized that there are 4,700 farms and agricultural cooperatives in Zafarobod district, and during 2022, the total agricultural output of the district was about 732 million somoni, which is equal to 115.2% compared to the same period in 2021.

At the same time, in the yard of the enterprise, high-breed cattle, cattle for the production of milk and meat, horses, sheep and goats, which are bred mainly in the district, were presented.

The Head of state, after getting acquainted with the achievements of the district’s cattle breeding, positively evaluated the work of the farmers and gave specific instructions to the officials in order to further strengthen this profitable industry, to establish new livestock farms and poultry factories, to breed and care for high-breed cattle.

Here, the Head of state visited the exhibition of the products of the farmers of the district, of the skills of women’s embroidery and samples of national handicrafts.

The Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, in the village of Zerafshan, Jomi rural community, Zafarobod district, put into operation the «Sharifamoh» silk carpet weaving and sewing workshop.

The newly built workshop is located in the center of the village and was founded by the local businessman Zafar Avulov.

Honorable Head of state Emomali Rahmon was informed that the workshop has been equipped with modern sewing and carpet weaving equipment. New jobs have been provided for 20 local women and girls.

«Sharifamoh» tailoring workshop is designed mainly for sewing school clothes, and it sews women’s, men’s, sports, military, etc. clothes based on the customer’s request.

It was reported that one of the activities of the craft center is to include the women and girls of the village in learning the art of hand-woven carpets.

The establishment of a carpet weaving workshop creates a basis for the development of this traditional craft, and especially for providing employment to women and girls of the village and their earning.

At the time of independence in the country, more attention was paid to the revival of national traditions, including folk crafts. With the support and care of the Government of the country, handicraft centers, including atlas, carpet weaving, are being set up, and conditions are being created for unemployed women and girls to become entrepreneurs.

Honorable Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, highly appreciated such a constructive initiative of the businessman in the direction of development of industry and crafts in rural areas, and assessed the activity of this workshop as an important factor in providing women and girls with jobs and profitability from this account.

The Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, as part of his working trip to Sughd Province, in the village of Zerafshan, Jomi rural community, Zafarobod district, put in commission the building of comprehensive secondary education institution No. 3 named after Loiq Sherali.

The project building and other facilities of the comprehensive secondary education institution No. 3 on an area of 1.5 hectares were built with the financing of the executive body of state authority of Sughd Province, the order of the main construction department of the region. Construction work has been completed by the workers and specialists of LLCs «Sokhtmoni Zafarobod», «Olamafruz 2016», «Ejozi hunar», «Cirus» and «Manzili ozod».

Honorable Leader of the Nation Emomali Rahmon was informed that the building of the institution consists of 2 floors, 14 classrooms, 4 laboratories, a kitchen, a sports hall and a meeting hall with 250 seats. All technical classrooms and laboratories are equipped with modern equipment and facilities, and favorable conditions have been created for conducting classes and activities at a high level.

The building of this educational institution was built within the framework of the educational policy of the Honorable Head of state Emomali Rahmon with a modern design, and 1000 students are educated in it in two shifts.

30 teachers are engaged in education and upbringing of children in the institution.

In the new building of the institution, classrooms have been prepared for conducting classes at the standard level. In particular, the classroom of military defense is equipped with equipment and visual aids according to the regulations and helps to increase the sense of patriotism of students.

In order to attract more young people to sports and physical education, a modern sports hall has been built in the new institution. Using these modern facilities, students play various sports, including volleyball, basketball, futsal, table tennis, etc.

Honorable President of the country Emomali Rahmon got acquainted with the classrooms and technical offices and all the conditions provided, and had a free and sincere conversation with the teachers and students of the institution.

The Head of state guided the students to make effective use of the favorable conditions, to learn good knowledge and in the future to do meritorious service for the development of the society and their Motherland.

In the courtyard of the institution, a modern sports field has been built with a modern design to attract students and villagers to football.

Fruit-bearing and decorative trees and colorful flowers are planted around the institution, which adds a special charm to the appearance of the building.

The Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, in the village of Zerafshan, Zafarobod district, Sughd Province, put a drinking water line into operation.

It was reported that drinking water was produced in this area by building a vertical well at a depth of 150 meters using a special water pump, and as a result more than 430 families, i.e. 1800 people of the village of Zerafshan, got access to clean drinking water.

At the same time, the educational and health institutions of this village were provided with high-quality drinking water through the drinking water line.

With the construction of the drinking water line, the previous problems of Zerafshan village of Zafarobod district regarding the supply of drinking water were solved.

In the light of the noble initiatives of the Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, with the funding of the executive body of state authority of Sughd Province and local authorities, a drinking water line with a length of more than 2 kilometers was built in this village, and water lines were brought to all the streets and neighborhoods of Zerafshan village, and water points were established.

The implementation of a number of investment projects for the supply of drinking water in the cities and districts of the country is a testimony to the fact that the issue of the provision of drinking water is being resolved every year.

Providing the inhabitants of Zerafshan village of Zafarobod district with ecologically clean drinking water is the result of state independence and the implementation of instructions and orders of the highest leadership of the State and Government. The population of Zerafshan village expressed their gratitude to the Head of state for this gift.

Within the framework of his visit to the cities and districts of Sughd Province, the Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, put into operation the Health Center in the village of Zerafshan, Jomi rural community, Zafarobod district.

Construction and renovation work on this healthcare facility started in October 2022. The contractor of the facility is «SMU-1» Limited Liability Company.

The building of the Health Center of Zerafshan village of Jomi rural community is one-story and consists of 3 halls, 9 rooms, including rooms of family doctors, examination of women’s diseases, administration of drugs, vaccination, analysis and testing laboratory, circumcision of children, ultrasound examination, delivery and post-delivery.

After the repair and renovation, the possibilities and conditions of diagnosis and treatment in the Health Center of Zerafshan village have been improved by introducing and equipping modern medical equipment, objects, and other necessary equipment in accordance with the requirements of the time.

Thanks to the activity of Zerafshan village Health Center, 9 people, including 1 doctor, 6 mid-level medical workers, 1 junior medical worker and a farmer are provided with permanent job and good salary.

Most of the specialists working in this health center are residents of this village.

Honorable Head of state Emomali Rahmon instructed the specialists of Zerafshan village Health Center and regional and district health officials to faithfully serve residents in their professional activities. They were urged to use modern and popular methods of diagnosis and treatment of patients and provide medical services at the required level.

It is worth noting that after the renovation, the appearance, interior of the building, diagnostic and treatment rooms and other types of medical services of the Zerafshan village Health Center have completely changed, have been rendered spacious and beautiful, the surroundings are green, flowery and pleasant.

In continuation of working visit, the Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, visited Zafarobod district, commissioned a water supply line and visited the new intensive and super-intensive gardens in the horticulture cooperative «Sakhovati Kurush».

Also, in the «Nur Temur» commercial cooperative, Leader of the Nation started cotton planting and visited the exhibition of agricultural seeds.

Honorable Emomali Rahmon was the first to put the water supply line into use in Zarrez area of rural community named after Abdurrahmani Jomi of the district.

It was reported that 2 water lines from the Syrdarya River to the agricultural lands at a distance of 980 meters first and 620 meters second, in total — 1600 meters with the installation of polyethylene pipes with a diameter of 355 mm were built by the businessman at the cost of 1.5 million somoni. 1700 cubic meters of water are released every hour through them.

Through the new water supply facility, 200 hectares of agricultural lands of «Sakhovati Kurush» and «Nur Temur» farms will be irrigated, and the lands of Zarrez area will be supplied with clean water.

Businessmen and farmers have brought more than 200 hectares of abandoned and unused land into agricultural circulation by completing this measure and carrying out smoothing and cultivation of land in this region. Agricultural crops have not been produced in the lands of this region for more than 30 years due to the failure of the «Mehnat» water pumping station.

Last year, cotton, grain, alfalfa crops were planted on the lands that were brought into agricultural circulation, new intensive gardens were built, and this year’s season has been extended to spring sowing.

Honorable President of the country Emomali Rahmon started the cotton planting campaign in one of the plots of land of «Nur Temur» commercial cooperative.

Along with the creation of intensive and super-intensive orchards, the cultivation of grain, oilseeds and fodder, the farmers in this region plan to increase the volume of cotton production.

The volume of cotton production should be increased by updating the equipment and engines of water pumping stations in the farms of Zafarobod district. Farmers of the district have the opportunity to increase the productivity and volume of cotton production and contribute to the implementation of the State Cotton Development Program, which will increase profitability and raise the standard of living of the district residents.

Entrepreneurs and farmers of commercial horticulture cooperative «Sakhovati Kurush» in Zarrez area in 2022 built an intensive orchard of apples and peaches on the area of 5 hectares. In the season of this year, with the use and introduction of modern technology, they are continuing to build an intensive garden on the area of 2 hectares, and they are building a super-intensive orchard of apples and black plums on the area of 5 hectares.

Honorable Head of state Emomali Rahmon visited the super intensive garden and appreciated the initiative of entrepreneurs and specialists.

According to the technology, a super-intensive garden was created with the participation and recommendation of domestic and foreign specialists, seedlings were planted according to the scheme of 80 centimeters by 4 meters, and 16 thousand saplings were planted on an area of 5 hectares.

Based on the technology and physiological requirements of horticulture, 1,000 native apple and plum seedlings have been planted in this area for pollination of garden seedlings.

The President of the country, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, while meeting and talking with entrepreneurs and specialists, emphasized that in the conditions of the progress of science and technology, in order to increase the volume of fruit and grape production and enhance the quality and standard of fruit in each region and in the country as a whole, the area of intensive and super-intensive orchards and vineyards should be expanded.

The Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, officially launched a fishery in Zafarobod district by pressing a symbolic button.

The first fish were released into the fish ponds.

Farms of commercial cooperatives «Sakhovati Kurush» and «Mir Temur» started to establish fish breeding ponds using a suitable site on the banks of the Syrdarya River.

According to the project, the equipment of the ponds is manufactured in the People’s Republic of China and is built using the floating method, that is, with the rise and fall of the water level, these ponds contribute to the physiological life of fish.

The number of fishing ponds is 10, each measuring 5 meters by 2.5 meters, installed in the «Farhod» water supply channel.

At the first stage, 20,000 fish will grow in these ponds, and according to the business plan of the entrepreneurs, the type and quantity of fish will be increased.

This is the first fish farm in Zafarobod district, and the Head of state gave instructions and advice to farmers and entrepreneurs to use the favorable conditions of the banks of the Syrdarya and the areas adjacent to the irrigation facilities of the district to create fish ponds.

Farmers and entrepreneurs are motivated to establish farms and fish ponds using the established privileges and reliefs.

During his working trips, the Head of state laid the foundations for the establishment of farms and fish ponds in a number of cities and districts of the Sughd Province.

In recent years, fishery has been developing in the region, until now there are 33 fish farms with 43222 hectares of fish ponds.

The production of fish meat has periodically increased, and in 2022, 894 tons of fish meat was produced in the region.

The establishment and organization of such fish farms and ponds contributes to the development of the industry, the increase of industrial fish and the supply of the domestic market with dietary fish meat.
