A Virtual Exhibition of Works by Famous Tajik Artists Opens in London

DUSHANBE,  On April 15, the first virtual exhibition of Tajik contemporary art opened at the Zari Gallery in London. The exhibition was organized by the initiative of the Tajikistan Embassy in collaboration with Tajik Cultural Centre in London.

The exhibit features some of the country’s most famed painters such as Farrukh Negmatzade, Olim Kamolov, Eraj Olimov, Bahrom Ismatov and Rahim Safarov, whose works explores Tajikistan’s rich history, deeply influenced by its fantastic surrounding landscape.

The exhibition offers a great opportunity to get acquainted with Tajik art, art of the Soviet Union and Central Asia.

The exhibition was planned to be held within Naruz celebration, but due to recent developments and adoption of quarantine measures in the UK a decision was made to transform the planned event into a virtual format.
