Dushanbe Water Festival will be held on June 6, 2022 in the Park of Culture and Recreation "Navruzgoh" in the capital. This water festival will be the foundation of life, well-being, prosperity and sustainable development.

The festival is organized in the framework of the Second International High-Level Conference on the International Decade for Action "Water for Sustainable Development", 2018-2028, which will be held from 6 to 9 June 2022 in Dushanbe.

The Dushanbe Water Festival consists of five sections, the program of the Festival includes an exhibition of folk arts and crafts, an exhibition of Tajik national dishes, a concert program with the participation of leading masters of arts, a fashion show of Tajik national costumes and other exhibitions.

The main goal of the Dushanbe Water Festival will be to raise public awareness about the value of water as a vital resource, respect for it and protect it for future generations. Along with the positive messages, the festival highlights the challenges and the need to mobilize efforts to address them.

Another goal of the festival is to demonstrate the policy and experience of the Republic of Tajikistan as a leader in promoting water issues on the world agenda and to draw the attention of the international community to the UN Water Conference in 2023, chaired by Tajikistan and the Netherlands.

The festival will last from 18:30 to 21:00 and will provide a good opportunity for conference guests to get acquainted with the history, culture, art and traditions of the Tajik people, as well as have a good time in a friendly and festive atmosphere.
