Aida Mahmudova attends reopening of “YAY” gallery

The "YAY" gallery presented a group exhibition entitled "Everything will be fine: Tomorrow or someday". Aida Mahmudova, the founder of "YARAT" Contemporary Art Space, who participated in the opening ceremony, is one of the artists in the group exhibition. 'Eight artists working in various media with different experiences came together in this exhibition,' Zahra Mammadova, the curator of the exhibition told AZERTAC. She noted that this group exhibition features works by Rasim Babayev, Elshan Baba, Orkhan Huseynov, Terlan Gorchu, Aida Mahmudova, Gafar Rzayev, Zamir Suleymanov, and CHINGIZ. Mammadova emphasized that the main goal of the exhibition is to stimulate the germination of "seeds of thought", encouraging people to believe in the power of fine arts during difficult times. Addressing the ceremony, Farah Alakbarli, the chief curator of "YARAT" Contemporary Art Space, and Aida Mahmudova, the founder of "YARAT" Contemporary Art Space thanked everyone for contribution to the exhibition. The exhibition invites guests to explore a wide range of topics, from contemporary dilemmas to introspective journeys. Artists delve into the complexities of time and space, seeking meaning in liminal spaces and prompting reflections on identity and beliefs. The artworks prompt viewers to contemplate who we are and what we believe, touching on issues of identity and existence. The exhibition itself serves as an artist's "diary," capturing personal experiences that also resonate with viewers, reflecting collective experiences and emotions. The exhibition will run until December 8. Source: Azerbaijan State News Agency
