Regular international flights between Tajikistan and Kazakhstan will open on March 14.
According to the Director of the Civil Aviation Agency of Tajikistan Ikrom Subhonzoda, on March 14, Kazakh Air Astana will resume Almaty — Dushanbe flights.
Along with this, on March 17, the Tajik Somon Air will begin its regular flights on the Dushanbe — Almaty route.
Kazakhstan became the fifth country to resume regular international flights with Tajikistan after a year-long interruption in regular flights due to the outbreak of COVID-19 and the announcement of a pandemic.
Earlier, Tajikistan resumed regular international flights to Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, Uzbekistan and Afghanistan.
Currently, Somon Air (Tajikistan), Turkish Airlines (Turkey), Fly Dubai (the United Arab Emirates), Uzbekistan Airways (Uzbekistan) and Kam Air (Afghanistan) operate regular flights on the Dushanbe-Istanbul, Dushanbe — Dubai, Dushanbe — Tashkent, and Dushanbe – Kabul routes.
Subhonzoda said that the resumption of regular international flights between Tajikistan and Russia is currently being studied and discussed by the parties, while the date of the resumption is not yet known.
