Riyadh: Azerbaijan's First Deputy Minister of Economy, Elnur Aliyev, engaged in a series of meetings during his visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, focusing on enhancing cooperative efforts. Key discussions took place with Muhammad Sulaiman Al Jasser, President of the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) Group, and Osman €¡elik, Deputy Minister of Treasury and Finance of Trkiye, as reported by Azerbaijan's Ministry of Economy to APA-Economics.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, one of the highlights of the visit was the IDB "Directors' Meeting" where significant conversations revolved around the creation of the Bank's strategic framework document slated for the next decade (2026-2035). These discussions aimed to outline the priorities and directions of the organization, aligning them with the developmental needs of member countries.
During these meetings, First Deputy Minister Elnur Aliyev underscored Azerbaijan's effective cooperation with the Islamic Development Bank. He expressed appreciation for the Bank's support in various projects that Azerbaijan has implemented, emphasizing the importance of continued collaboration in achieving mutual development goals.
