Azerbaijan MFA responded to Armenian MFA Spokesperson

"Nonsense claims of the the press secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, Ani Badalyan, in her response to the question of Radio Liberty, about the establishment of a border control checkpoint on the Lachin road, the Armenian forces in the territory of Azerbaijan, and the fact that 8 villages are still under occupation have no basis, and we strongly reject them," Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan notes on its statementm APA reports.

"The legitimate decision and step taken by Azerbaijan to establish a border checkpoint on its sovereign territory is in accordance with all principles and norms of international law.

It is a pity that the Armenian side still cannot stomach the fact that the two main claims of Armenia about the peaceful protests held by Azerbaijani eco-activists on the Khankandi-Lachin road were allegedly "organized by the government of Azerbaijan" and that "Azerbaijan hinders the provision of public services (natural gas and internet, etc.)” were rejected by the Court.

Instead of liberating the villages of Kerki of Sadarak district of Nakhchivan and Sofulu, Barkhudarli, Baganis Ayrim, Gyzil Hajili, Yukhari Eskipara, Ashagi Eskipara, Kheirimli villages of Sadarak district of Nakhchivan, as part of the commitment that Armenia undertook when it signed the Tripartite Declaration, questioning the ownership of these villages to Azerbaijan shows that this country has not yet given up its territorial claims against Azerbaijan.

Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, linked the loss of the war with the "5th column" in Armenia and confirmed that the war was being waged by the Armenian armed forces, that the entire military command was subordinated to the Armneian Ministry of Defense, and that the top political and military leaderships acknowledged that the forces had not yet been withdrawn. The fact that the spokesperson of the Armenian MFA, who ignores it, stated that there are no Armenian armed forces in Azerbaijan is an indication that the foreign policy of Armenia is fed with lies.

The conduct of criminal cases by Armenia's own law enforcement agencies against those who have been presented as military personnel of the so-called regime for a long time is a clear proof that these military personnel are subordinate to Armenia.

Azerbaijan once again calls on Armenia to give up its territorial claims against Azerbaijan. Ensuring peace and stability in the region depends on Armenia's respect to territorial integrity and sovereignty," it reads.
