Azerbaijan Ombudsman: 69 pardon order were signed so far, 12 amnesty acts

So far, 69 pardon orders and 12 amnesty acts have been signed, said Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman) of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Sabina Aliyeva duirng execution of pardon order, APA reports.

She said that the document signed today is the largest act of amnesty in terms of scope: "Today is a very happy day. The amnesty order is directly related to the name of . Ilham Aliyev signed a pardon order in connection with the 100th anniversary of National leader of Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev. As an ombudsman, I express my gratitude for the order."

Sabina Aliyeva noted that 864 people have been pardoned at the petition of the Ombudsman: "In this order, 59 convicts are released at the petition of the Ombudsman."
