Azerbaijan to Eliminate Paper Prescriptions Nationwide

Baku: Azerbaijan is set to phase out the use of paper prescriptions in favor of an electronic system.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Sevinj Maharramova, a specialist at the Digital Healthcare Center, has announced that electronic prescriptions will soon replace paper ones in all medical institutions across the country.

Maharramova highlighted that the transition to electronic prescriptions will allow patients to request prescriptions from any doctor, whether in private or public medical facilities. The electronic system will also include a calendar feature that sends notifications to patients regarding the timing and dosage of their medication. Once the electronic system is fully implemented nationwide, paper prescriptions will be entirely obsolete.
