On July 4, a consultation was held at the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Azerbaijan under the leadership of the Minister, Colonel-General Kamaladdin Heydarov, in order to discuss related security issues within the framework of preparation for the COP29, which will be held in Baku in November this year, APA reports citing Ministry. According to the information, deputy ministers, heads of relevant structural divisions and institutions of the Ministry of Emergency Situations participated in the meeting. The minister expressed the need to resolve the security issues related to the many guests coming to Azerbaijan in connection with COP29, the places where the event will be held, as well as the guests' accommodation and the surrounding areas, at a high level. For this purpose, he noted the activities of the Headquarters established at the MES and made up of professional employees of the Ministry, spoke about the tasks ahead. Later, the reports of the members of the Headquarters on the security issues relat ed to the preparations for the COP29 were heard and a wide discussion was held. Concluding the consultation, Minister Kamaldan Heydarov gave instructions for the proper fulfillment of the duties of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in connection with the prestigious international event to be held in Azerbaijan.
