The process of submitting the documents necessary for registering candidates for the early presidential election, which will be held in Azerbaijan on February 7, is beginning, Trend reports. The documents must be submitted a maximum of 50 and no less than 30 days before voting day by 18:00 (GMT +4), from December 19, 2023, to January 8, 2024. Roads in Azerbaijan’s Astara to undergo overhaul, following official decree

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has signed a decree to allocate 800,000 manat ($470,590) for the overhaul of the Duriya-Shumrud road in the Astara district, Trend reports. According to the decree, to carry out the road's overhaul, the State Agency of Azerbaijan Automobile Roads is allocated the mentioned sum from the funds specified in subparagraph 1.31.25 of the "Distribution of funds provided in the state budget of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2023 for state capital investment (investment expenditures)" approved by Presidential Decree No. 3720 of January 23, 2023. The decree charges the Ministry of Finance of Azerbaijan with securing the funds mentioned in the first section of this decree, the Ministry of Economy of Azerbaijan - with envisaging the necessary funds to complete the major repairs of the road in the distribution of expenses for public investment in the draft state budget of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2024.
