Azerbaijani Defense Ministry execs visit mobilization training camps (PHOTO)

During the meeting, Colonel General Karim Valiyev spoke about the positive results of successful reforms carried out in the army under the leadership of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Ilham Aliyev. 'The First Deputy Defense Minister emphasized the importance of systematically continuing mobilization training and creating mobilization reserves, with a special focus on regular training camps to maintain a high level of combat readiness among reserve servicemen. The Chief of the General Staff inquired about the provision and practical training of those liable for military duty. He relayed the Defen se Minister's instructions to relevant officials regarding the need to enhance their professionalism and adapt to real combat conditions, ensuring effective use of newly adopted weapons and combat equipment through technological innovations. Azerbaijani delegation continues visit to Kingdom of Morocco

The Azerbaijani delegation's visit to the Kingdom of Morocco, at the invitation of Latifa Akharbach, President of the High Authority for Audiovisual Communication (HACA), continues. The delegation, comprised of Ismat Sattarov, Chairman of the Audiovisual Council, Vugar Aliyev, Chairman of the Board of Azerbaijan State News Agency (AZERTAC), and Ahmad Ismayilov, Executive Director of the Media Development Agency, held a meeting with Mohammed Mehdi Bensaid, Minister of Youth, Culture and Communication of Morocco. During the meeting, the Azerbaijani delegation was briefed on the ministry's activities in media and communication, media legislation and regulation, support for media organizations, as well as the ministry's priorities and challenges in these areas. The Moroccan minister emphasized the robust relations between Azerbaijan and Morocco across various sectors and expressed readiness to explore further sustainable joint activities and cooperation opportunities, particularly in the media realm. Fouad Arif expressed MAP's interest in collaborating with similar institutions from other countries and exploring joint project possibilities. He underscored the agency's commitment to relations with Azerbaijan, announcing the deployment of a permanent correspondent to Baku starting August 1 this year. Chairman of the Board of Azerbaijan State News Agency Vugar Aliyev highlighted AZERTAC's activities, noting its 104th anniversary and its news broadcasting in 8 languages, along with partnership with 50 news agencies worldwide. Highlighting the importance of parliamentary diplomacy to develop peace, security and the rule of law, Gafarova described the rule of law as vital for ensuring peace and security. She underlined that any approach to this issue should be based on strict adherence to universally recognized norms and principles of international law, such as respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of countries, without discriminatory application. Touching upon the climate change impacts, Speaker Sahiba Gafarova described this issue as one of the global challenges that must be addressed urgently. Speaker Sahiba Gafarova highlighted Azerbaijan's hosting of COP29 with the unanimous position of the international community, emphasizing that Azerbaijan would do its utmos t to attract all parties and unite all countries and societies around a common goal. The Azerbaijani Speaker also attended the meeting of the Women Parliament Speakers in preparation for the Summit of Women Speakers of Parliaments on May 17.
