Celebration of International Navruz in UNESCO

March 17, 2022 at the initiative of the Permanent Missions of the Navruz Basin (Tajikistan, Afghanistan, Iran, Azerbaijan, Iraq, India, Pakistan, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan) at the United Nations Headquarters for Education, Science and Culture (UNESCO). ) was held in Paris on the occasion of the International Day of Nowruz.

The event was attended and addressed by UNESCO Director-General Odri Azule, who sincerely congratulated all countries celebrating Navruz.

The Embassy of Tajikistan in France and the Permanent Mission of Tajikistan to UNESCO decorated the national table with Tajik cuisine and exhibited propaganda materials and photos about Tajikistan in order to better present the country.

The event was attended by officials of French ministries and departments, ambassadors accredited to the Organization, representatives of the Secretariat and various structures of UNESCO and representatives of other international organizations based in France, scientific and cultural circles, as well as Tajiks living in France and friends of Tajikistan.

At the end, the guests were presented a cultural program with national songs and dances.
