On January 17, 2023, in Brussels, on the premises of the European External Action Service, on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic partnership between the states of Central Asia and the European Union, a solemn cultural event “Connecting on the Silk Road” was held.
The Secretary General of the European External Action Service Mr Stefano Sannino, and the EU Special Representative for Central Asia Ms Terhi Hakala, opened the event with the speeches on the state and prospects for the development and expansion of mutually beneficial cooperation.
As part of the event, a cultural program was presented with national songs and video clips, an exhibition of folk crafts and photographs. Additionally, in honour of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of a diplomatic partnership between the EU and the countries of Central Asia, an exhibition of paintings and photographs by artists of the region will be held in the office of the European External Action Service until February 2, 2023.
