On September 28 in the small hall of the hotel "Sugdiyon" in Khujand with the participation of Deputy Chiefs of the Interior Ministry and chairmen of Public Councils for Civil Society Assistance in maintaining public order in cities and districts of Sughd region was held a round table on "Cooperation of Public Councils". with the police to prevent undesirable actions ”, which discussed the results of the plan of meetings of the Public Council with regional observers and the assistance of civil society in maintaining public order.

At the beginning, the Chairman of the Public Council under the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Sughd Naim Malikislomi noted that the main goal of all of us is to protect peaceful life, public health, prosperity and creativity, and in turn to assist law enforcement agencies in preventing and detecting crime. Negative actions that disrupt law and order, increase public confidence in the police and the development of such beneficial cooperation at all stages of police reform.

Shafizoda Rustam Ismoil, First Deputy Chief of the Sughd Police Department, opened the roundtable and explained the purpose of the roundtable. 2021-2025 ”. The direct participation of citizens of different professions and occupations in the reform process is very important, and citizens should have an easy opportunity to submit proposals, requests and opinions, as such an opportunity will contribute to the further improvement of this state structure.

At the same time, citizens were provided with useful suggestions on police reform.

Colonel Valikhon Hamdamzoda, National Coordinator for Police Reform of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, made an analytical report on the results of the activities of Public Councils for Civil Society Assistance in Police Reform in cities and districts of Sughd region. shortcomings, the use of best practices for operational efficiency and implementation of the requirements of the State Program of Police Reform for 2021-2025.

Along with the discussion of the work program of the Council, the participants of the round table analyzed the instructions of the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Sughd region.

In conclusion, at the initiative of the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Sughd region, all chairmen of Public Councils were awarded letters of appreciation and gifts for active participation in the implementation of the police reform process. It should be noted that the round table was held in the framework of a joint project of the Ministry of Internal Affairs with the program office of the Organization for European Cooperation (OSCE) in Dushanbe and the public organization "National Association of Women Entrepreneurs of Tajikistan".
