The Ministry of Finance of Kyrgyzstan proposed to execute the parliamentary decree «On improving the organization of meals for students of educational institutions» by the end of the year. The Deputy Minister Zhyldyz Duishenova announced at a meeting of the parliamentary committee on social policy.
She noted that it was necessary to make changes to the laws and the budget.
«Even if we find money and start on September 1, we will still have to adopt the relevant bill. An additional amount for school meals is not provided for in this year’s budget,» the Deputy Minister said.
The deputies of the committee did not agree with Zhyldyz Duishenova and instructed the Cabinet of Ministers to raise funds by August 31 to increase the amount allocated for school meals.
Resolution of the Parliament was adopted on June 30, 2022, according to which it was supposed to raise the amount allocated for school meals from 2023.
