The head of the Customs Service under the Government of Tajikistan Khurshed Karimzoda met with the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Tajikistan Kwon Dong Seok.

The discussion centered around strengthening cooperation between the two states in the field of customs activities.

The officials focused on signing the draft agreement between the governments of Tajikistan and Korea on mutual assistance in customs activities and the effective use of the Unified Automated Information System of the Customs Service.

The signing and implementation of this document will expand mutually beneficial cooperation and create favorable conditions for simplifying export-import operations, exchanging customs information, preventing violations of customs rules, mutual assistance, and launching other technical assistance projects in the areas of customs activity.

The unified automated risk management subsystem of the Unified Automated Information System of the Customs Service was created with the financial support of the Republic of Korea and was officially launched in September 2021 during the visit of the Commissioner of the Customs Service of Korea Lim Jae Hyun to Tajikistan.

This subsystem functions effectively and creates a favorable basis for preventing violations of customs rules.
