Tajikistan will launch regular flights on Dushanbe — Almaty and Dushanbe — Kabul routes, reports the country’s Civil Aviation Agency (CAA).
These flights will be operated once a week.
Additionally, it was decided to increase the number of charter flights on the Dushanbe — Minsk route.
This issue was discussed at a CAA working meeting with the participation of the agency’s Director Ikrom Subhonzoda and representatives of foreign companies.
Representatives of the Dushanbe International Airport, Somon Air airlines and employees of Belavia airlines from Belarus, Air Astana from Kazakhstan, and Kam Air from Afghanistan agreed on transportation.
Subhonzoda noted that due to the measures taken, the epidemiological situation has improved and this stabilization creates a favorable environment for the resumption of regular international flights.
In this regard, the country’s authorities decided to establish regular flights for passengers and the unimpeded movement of citizens between Tajikistan, Kazakhstan and Afghanistan.
The launch of flights once a week will be the first step in the resumption of regular flights.
