DUSHANBE, March 3, 2013, Asia-Plus - An unidentified man possessing three German Shepherd dogs has allegedly injured and killed stray dogs on the streets of Khujand, according to the Khujand police department. Temurov Ato Juraevich, born on May 21, 1975, resident of Khujand city, Davronbek Ahmadbekov Street. The spread of the video on the Internet and the comments of users of social networks prompted the Khujand police to identify the participant in order to prevent such undesirable actions.
It should be noted that the citizen Ato Temurov has a mental illness and since 1995 has been registered in the Center for Mental Illness of Sughd region. He has the ability to tame dogs and provides services for the training and education of domestic dogs. Three dogs of the German breed "Ovcharka" shown in the video also belonged to other people and were left at his disposal only for the purpose of training and taming.
We would like to inform the citizens that the alleged daily practice of exterminating stray dogs by Ato Temurov in Khujand is not realistic and was only a one-time action that was detected and prevented with the help of civil society.
At present Temurov Ato Juraevich has been detained and taken to the Sughd Psychiatric Center for treatment.
