Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Edil Baisalov met with representatives of relevant state bodies, international organizations and private employment agencies on issues of external labor migration. Press service of the Cabinet reported.

Participants of the meeting considered issues of legal support for the citizens staying abroad, improvement of their working conditions and legal employment.

According to the Ministry of Labor and Social Development, more than 1.5 million citizens of Kyrgyzstan work abroad.

The number is growing every year. Edil Baisalov noted that labor migration is a priority for the Cabinet of Ministers. The state makes every effort to protect the labor rights and interests of its citizens abroad.

«The leadership of the republic is working hard to create hundreds of thousands of jobs in Kyrgyzstan. But in the coming years, we will still be forced to export labor abroad. The question is that we send our young people to high-paying jobs. There are literally millions of vacancies open to us in Europe and Asia, not to mention Russia, the level of which we do not correspond to. The main task now is to improve the teaching of foreign languages, development of skills and training in highly qualified professions,» the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet said.
