DUSHANBE, From August 11 through August 14, per President Emomali Rahmon’s instructions and the corresponding decision of the Republican COVID-19 Prevention Commission, a working group led by Deputy Prime Minister Shirin Ismatullozoda visited Rogun and the Rasht valley’s districts in order to examine the health and social protection of the population, as well as analyze the real state of prevention and treatment of patients with coronavirus.
While visiting Rogun, Sangvor, Nurobod, Rasht, Tojikobod and Lakhsh districts, the group got acquainted with the progress of the effective operation of hospitals and primary health care institutions, and the preparation of educational institutions for the new academic year.
During the trip, it was found that the population, education and doctors are careless about COVID-19.
In the streets and markets, the population strolls without medical masks. There is almost no stock of antiseptics, masks, campaigning and propaganda posters for the prevention of coronavirus in educational institutions.
“The the anti-pandemic measures have curbed the spread of the virus in Tajikistan,” she noted.
“If every teacher interacts with doctors and parents, I am sure that schoolchildren will never be carriers of the disease,” said added.
She instructed officials to not allow teachers and students to go to classes without masks.
“There must be antiseptics and thermometers at the entrance of schools,” Ismatullozoda emphasized.
“Each teacher is obliged to devote 2-3 minutes of the lesson to explaining the importance of observing rules of sanitation and hygiene,” she concluded.
