Health Ministry: There Is No Lack of Doctors and No Shortage of Places for COVID-19 Infected Individuals

DUSHANBE, Currently, despite the daily increase of COVID-19 infections, there is no shortage of medical personnel involved in treating patients with COVID-19, according to the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population.
All health care facilities that treat people with COVID-19 are provided with the necessary drugs, conditions for the provision of medical services, protective clothing, disinfectants and highly qualified specialists.
In case a shortage of specialists is observed in a medical institution, specialists will be transferred from other institutions, the ministry added.
Every day, the number of those infected with COVID-19 is growing. In the last 20 days, 1,729 people have been infected.
So far, 42,000 spaces are available in various healthcare institutions.
There are 5,756 beds in Dushanbe hospitals. Another 2,000 more spaces will be made in the coming week, the ministry added.
