Independence is the highest and most valuable achievement of the Tajik state and nation, which twenty-nine years ago was the most important historical event in the destiny of the Tajik nation: the state independence of the Republic of Tajikistan was declared. This joyous event took place in early September 1991, and September 9 was officially recognized as the Independence Day of the Republic of Tajikistan. Since then, this blessed date has been a sacred holiday for the Tajik nation.
This great blessing, along with the achievement of enlightenment, love, loyalty, prosperity and freedom, solidarity and coexistence, peace and eternity, has brought to the great people of Tajikistan and dear Tajikistan.
Despite the fact that our nation has gone through many ups and downs of history and hardships over the years, it has preserved the achievements of the original culture, national identity, native language, science and world literature. It is well-known that our ancestors, with the inspiration of the valuable thought "Good thoughts, good words and good deeds" have very wisely expressed the best and clearest dreams and aspirations of mankind and the pillars of universal morality, this wise word for centuries .
Undoubtedly, it was such an advanced civilization, traditions and customs with a vital aspect, life-giving thinking and high intellectual enlightenment of our ancestors that led them to the treasury of human civilization from Zoroaster and Mani to Rudaki and Ferdowsi, Abu Ali Sinovu Nasihri Khomrav, Umar Attoru Jaloliddini Balkhi, Saadi and Hafiz, Khoja Kamolu Mavlono Jomi, Saido and Bedil have given hundreds of geniuses of science, literature and culture.
The period of independence has given us a real opportunity to choose the present and future path of the nation and the further progress of our beloved country towards a democratic, law-based and secular society. Independence has taught us the highest symbol of patriotism, the greatest blessing of statehood and independent statehood, consistent creative work, selfless efforts to achieve political, economic and cultural independence, strengthened the norms of civil society and at the same time a free and prosperous life for all. provided the real nation. For us, independence is an outstanding symbol of the stability of the state, the preservation of the image of the nation, a symbol of identity and identity, historical ideals and aspirations, an international passport and the honor of joining the civilized world of independent Tajikistan.
The tumultuous events of the early nineties made us think about ensuring national and state security, maintaining public order, maintaining peace and stability, strengthening independence and protecting its achievements, all of which were an integral part of our state policy.
In November 1992, in the Arbob Palace of B. Fafurov district, the XVI session of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Tajikistan brought to the political arena a person in whose name the further achievements of the country are closely linked. From the day of election of the outstanding son of the people, the Founder of Peace and National Unity - Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon laid the foundations of the constitutional structure, norms governing the economic, social and cultural life of the country in all levers of power. national passport was recognized on the world stage. We have established one of the main pillars of an independent state - the National Army and the Border Guards, and have taken under constant control the protection of the borders of our homeland and the borders of our state. Our most difficult problem for twenty-nine years has been the issue of energy independence, which the Head of State has been dealing with every day since the systematization of power structures. Of course, the systematic process of economic development and the development of all sectors of the economy in today's conditions largely depends on the independence of energy and communications and the expansion of road construction.
Therefore, the first steps of the Government of the Republic were to start the construction of Anzob tunnel. In this work, the head of state saw the beginning of all road and communication constructions and found the level of salvation in it. In order to ensure energy independence, the country needs to break the communication deadlock, food security, which are the strategic goals of the Government of the country, with the construction of small and large hydropower plants, power lines, tunnels, highways and bridges and dozens of infrastructure. socially good results were obtained.
Creativity in these areas has gained new momentum. Dozens of small hydropower plants have been built and put into operation under the long-term program for the construction of a series of small hydropower plants in 2009-2020. In particular, the construction of hydropower plants "Sangtuda-1", "Sangtuda-2" has been completed and it now serves the interests of the people. High-voltage transmission lines South-North, Lolazor-Khatlon, Lolazor-Sangtuda-1, 2 were put into operation. In particular, the commissioning of the first and second wheels of the largest hydropower plant in the region, the Rogun hydropower plant - is a great concern of the Government of the country for the people of the country.
A number of concrete measures have been taken to break the country's communication deadlock, including the construction of separate sections of the Dushanbe-Khorog-Murgab highway, the Dushanbe-Rasht-Saritosh highway, the Istiqlol and Shahristan tunnels, the Dushanbe-Khujand-Chanak highway and others. were given. After the use of the major inter-regional roads, it was possible to provide the traffic inside and outside the country in all seasons of the year, and on this basis, the situation with traffic and transportation to different parts of the country has improved.
In the current context of the modern world, and in particular the spread of coronavirus, strengthening independence, strengthening the foundations of the state and improving the standard and quality of human life is of vital importance not only for our people but for all mankind. Because in recent decades, the rapid progress of science and technology and the intensifying process of globalization have brought humanity into a completely new environment and led to the formation of a comprehensive system of political, economic, social, cultural, informational and spiritual relations.
This year, more than a number of facilities are expected to be built and put into operation in the territory of the Republic of Tajikistan in honor of this historic date. Through independence, Tajikistan has brought the Tajiks of the world together and opened its doors to its compatriots abroad.
It is a good result of independence that today Tajikistan is recognized in the world as a peace-loving state. The Tajik peace experience has become a source of learning for peacekeepers around the world, which is the pride of every Tajik nation. We should be proud of this great nation and strive to make it even more popular.
