Jordanian ambassador to Azerbaijan informed about Armenia’s separatist efforts

Azerbaijan's Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov has met with newly appointed Ambassador of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to the country Omar Al Nahar.

Ambassador Omar Al Nahar presented a copy of his credentials to Minister Jeyhun Bayramov.

During the meeting, the sides discussed issues of the bilateral and multilateral cooperation agenda between the two countries, as well as prospects for the development of relations.

During the discussions, FM Bayramov noted that the current development of political relations would give impetus to the further development of bilateral economic relations. He emphasized the importance of developing cooperation in the fields of economy, tourism, education and other areas, the activities of the Intergovernmental Commission, as well as the high-level reciprocal visits.

The parties also stressed the significance of continuing cooperation within the regional and international organizations and platforms, including the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM), and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).

The FM highlighted Armenia's occupation of Azerbaijani territories for almost 30 years, the policy of ethnic cleansing, as well as Armenia's ongoing provocations and separatist efforts in the post-conflict period after the 44-day Patriotic War.

Noting that there is a great potential for enhancing cooperation between the two countries in a number of areas, Ambassador Omar Al Nahar underlined that during his diplomatic tenure he would spare no efforts to contribute to further development of relations between Jordan and Azerbaijan.

The sides also exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest.
