Kyrgyzstan and Russia to step up work on snow leopard conservation

Kyrgyzstan and Russia will intensify work on conservation of the snow leopard. Chyngyz Kochorov, head of the Secretariat of the Global Snow Leopard and Ecosystem Protection Program (Kyrgyzstan), told reporters. He took part in the XIV International Economic Forum «Russia — Islamic World: KazanForum-2023».

He noted that a wide range of interaction between the two countries has been determined. According to him, scientific ties and exchange of experience have been established between the two countries.

«Involvement in the work of all regions of the snow leopard’s habitat allows to extract the best practices and integrate them into your country,» Chyngyz Kochorov said.

KazanForum ended in the capital of Tatarstan. This is a platform for business interaction between Russia and the countries of the Islamic world. Its goal is to strengthen trade, economic, scientific, technical, educational, social and cultural ties between the regions of the Russian Federation and the countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.
